I'm an idiot, could've had the variant landscape still running for the past month. I shut down most of the processes that do the update as I assumed they would stop providing all the data. I am using a slightly different dataset to Alex but thought I'd just check in case it was all still going.
Thank you again! I've pulled the numbers off your page, dug out my old scripts, and added the output to the article. You can see pretty convincing straight line growth on the logistic plot, and the slope is broadly comparable to what we saw for XBB.1.5 I think. (Feel free to point people in the Other Place at this plot if you'd like to)

Oooh, exciting stuff thanks (I assumed that too!) .. Not sure I can post gifs in notes threads, but if not https://tenor.com/en-GB/view/just-when-i-thought-i-was-out-they-pull-me-back-in-michael-corleone-al-pacino-the-godfather-gif-19249100

Thank you. Always a voice of reason.
Thanks! That's the aim at least (though sometimes easier said than done!)
The only estimate for R of XBB.1.16 that I’m willing to accept is 1.16 for the obvious reason
This probably explains why BA.5 was worse than BA.4 - makes perfect sense!
Very helpful, balanced view imho. Thanks
Thanks for reading it!
